Stable Skincare began with Emma, a Dorset rider whose long-term skin condition made everyday life at the yard increasingly painful. Cold weather, constant handwashing and outdoor work left her hands cracked, sore and bleeding.
The products available to her were thick, waxy and unscented. They sat heavily on her skin, attracted dirt and left residue behind, making reins slippery, marking leather and turning even simple tasks into a struggle.
As her skin worsened, grooming, filling nets and tacking up became difficult, and riding itself became increasingly challenging. For someone who had ridden since the age of four, the thought of giving up her horse became heartbreaking.
That moment changed everything. Emma realised that riders needed more than heavy, clinical products: they needed hand care that supports life with horses. Something light, elegant, practical and pleasant to use, created for sensitive skin and the realities of equestrian life.
